NEW TOOL UNLOCKED
I’ve started using a tool called Paseo, and so far I’m a fan. It exposes full remote control of a coding agent harness through an MCP server - so any assistant that speaks MCP can reach in and drive real coding agents directly.
Which means, practically speaking, I can just talk to Claude the way Picard talks to the ship’s computer. No “tea, Earl Grey, hot” - more like “fix the build, refactor that module” - but same energy. Say it out loud, and it goes and does the work. No keyboard required.
The bigger win, though, isn’t even giving orders - it’s the status reports. I can just ask, conversationally, “how’s everything doing?” and get the bird’s-eye view across every coding agent I’ve got running: which ones are stuck, which need a permission approved, how far along each one is. No more clicking into five different sessions to piece that together myself. It’s the “Number One, report” energy I didn’t know I needed.
That’s the trope, finally showing up for real. More thoughts once I’ve spent more time with it.
